can you use jp voices with english text?

One of my biggest gripes about revisiting this game and other ps1 era rpgs, the english dialogue is just so cringe.

Yes.
There's even two separate japanese voice options. The PSP voices, and a new set of voices by the original japanese PS1 actors.

And to make it even better, you can change each character individually if you want. Because the english doesn't bother me so much, but some character's voices are awful, and even worse in combat.
