Anyone hoping that they make Future Star Ocean games in the same style?

+ Finish CD2 and improve the combat mechanics especially for mechs combats.

As a new fan of the series. I wouldn't mind at all. If the made star ocean 7 close or similar. That way, they can also make it easier to focus on character developments. And story, and battle systems mechanics. I have nothing against hd or 3d graphics. But sometimes better graphics doesn't always make a better game.

The Lunar games don't need remakes. Just use an emulator to play the Unworking Designs edits of the Complete Editions.

None of the other stuff you people have mentioned need remakes either. Not everything needs a remake.

Yeah I don't think they are gonna remake the whole game and sell it as a DLC.

A DLC? Not in a chance. MAYBE if the remake sells well I can see them making a Blue Sphere remake, but I'm still very skeptical. Fingers crossed though.

Maybe I am the only one, but I would pay full price easily if they remade Blue Sphere in this style. Because it has never left Japan, ever. It was on the Gameboy (It's actually a DX/SuperGameboy cart) and then there was a GBA style remake on mobile phones in Japan, they really need to give us that somehow.

I share the same feeling. They can just recycle assets, update character sprites (since they do have different outfits in Blue Spheres since it takes a couple years after SO2) and everything is set.

I bet the venn diagram between those of you who prefer remakes to the original works in both film and video game is essentially a perfect circle.

Nobody is against a good remake.
A good remake can actually provide guide for future development (i.e. making future games like the good remake).

Nowadays I prefer goodness over originality. Originality =/= goodness, the hero journey is told over and over again, but it's still satisfying to read.

I have played those edits. Even got them loaded up on a PS Classic. And since I own the original Sega CD releases as well as the physical PSX remakes, I can rest well knowing I didn't steal anything. With the added advantage of not having to wear down my Sega CD and PSX.

If the elites running those corporate entities you care so much about would bother to make their hardware MORE backwards compatible, I wouldn't need remakes at all. Hell they don't even make their FULL game libraries available in any form whatsoever. We unwashed masses have zero control over that. Go topside and yell at the corpos. Real ironic since you mentioned Metropolis.

Not even a remake. I just wanna play the PlayStation version on modern hardware. How in the HELL does "The Silver Star" get 800,000,000 remakes while "Eternal Blue" somehow doesn't even warrant a release outside of Sega CD and PS1.
