With Octopath Traveler being a huge success in both western and eastern markets (and is probably the biggest influence for SO2's remake), I'm hoping SQEX will simply adopt this style for future Star Ocean titles.
I'm also hoping they'll employ Gemdrops (the studio who is remaking SO2) to remake other 2D games from SQEX's library, such as Chrono Trigger, Xenogears and Valkyrie Profile.
They have the Lufia license too.
Yes!! This would be the best!
Even a Lufia 2 Rise of the Sinistrals remake that keeps the game turn based like the original.
Phantasy Star 4 remake.
Lost Odyssey, even if it’s just ported. Shadow Hearts Trilogy etc.
I second the lufia 2 remake.. I was literally thinking about this last night.
This This completely This! Lunar 2 is an amazing story and would love to see it updated
Another on my list is Feda: The Emblem of Justice, a SNES, Japan-only Tactics JRPG akin to Fire Emblem. It later got a remake for the Sega Saturn, also a Japan-only.
