Druegar Strategy/Bug (Minor Spoilers)

In the boss battle against Druegar, the giant spider, I was having a lot of trouble.. That is until I accidentally (no joke) exited through the south door mid-fight. When I went back in, he was already on the floor directly infront of me, so I proceeded to fling normal fireballs at him and took down a TON of his life this way. After this initial ownage, I found the fight quite easy D:

You probably shouldn't be able to exit the room during the Boss battle, so I'm gonna presume it's a bug. But for those having trouble, I guess you could use it to your advantage in getting a few free hits in :3 I also found it helpful just to rub up against at least 2 of the eggs each time they spawn if they're within reach 8D

Not a bug. Exiting boss battles was something that was added to Ys II (not Ys I, for some reason.

It happens in all boss battles and if you leave you have to start over again. I'm more surprised it took you that long to find it, it was a source of massive frustration for me on nightmare difficulty since I always seemed to accidentally leave when I was doing good.

Wow, I'm also suprised I didn't figure it out earlier too then :P I guess it just made the positioning ideal for that fight, and I got excited :C On to Origins~

And then for Zava it's a source of frustration since leaving is of no help. Druegar is likely the only one it may help on since the rest of the bosses either have a crap positioning when you come back or can't be hit right off.

I beat Druegar by just using the regular (non-homing) fireball and blasting away. Couldn't even touch me.
