how to unlock Kobolds?

I was looking through achievements and saw mention of beating the game as Kobolds. anyone know how to unlock them?

I think you have to beat the game 1 time on any difficulty.
Actually I have finished it on normal difficult and on main Menu, on top left of it I can;
activate kobold mode (your heroes are all kobold with their race pro and cons)
eviscerate mode (this is a new mod to increase difficulty step by step: 1 more, 2 enemies more hp, 3 enemies more dmg etc etc)

I was wondering this too and it turns out I'm just blind. Didn't notice the new modes in the top left. Was there a notification that these were unlocked? Because if not, there should be.
