So if I buy this upgrade on Steam, I still cant use it? How does that work?

Okay, I'm confused with this "steam policy change" notice (that only seems to affect you guys =) - who CAN purchase this DLC then?

If you buy from Steam and get the key, you can use it with standalone.

If you buy from our online store, that key cannot be added to Steam (unlike previous types of keys that could be added).

So to simplify:

* If you want to use 3DMark Speed Way on Steam, buy it from Steam

* If you want to use 3DMark Speed Way on standalone, you can buy the upgrade on Steam (start it from Steam, view the key in Options and move it over) or from our store, but if you buy from our store, that key cannot be added to Steam account.

Sad there is no "demo" and audio for this test. Seems like a missed opportunity.

There is no CPU or combined test((

CPU Profile test is still there. It is intentional - we had lots of feedback that people want isolated tests, so if you are benching for GPU, the test is pure GPU. Port Royal already did this, and so does Speed Way. There is also a pure CPU test, CPU Profile, which tests the CPU. If you have scores from both, they give a good idea of the whole system.

As for Combined Test, that hasn't been done for years due to the immense complexity of actually having a relevant simultaneous load for both. Fire Strike Combined Test was always... not so good. Also games tend to be either CPU or GPU limited and very few ones really push both.

So I bought it, ran it once and it says the latest Radeon driver 22.10.1 is not approved.... WHY not? Its the most recent driver for Radeon GPUs

It should be. Please give a link to your score on 3dmark.com so I can check the version. AMD sometimes annoyingly replaces their driver packages with subtly different ones without actually announcing its a new release. This could be a case like that.

Checked AMD page for 22.10.1. It claims the driver internal version is

31.0.12019.16007

Which is Approved in our systems.

Ah, I see. So Steam purchases are only valid on steam & UL Store keys are only valid on your platform. Maybe you should write this then =)

Your driver is probably some kind of later beta driver and not from the official site.
