Is not working on my Win 8 with SLI
rla1999 May 1, 2013 @ 3:59pm
In my case, I am running SLI as well. When I try running the test for extreme gaming, it loads, starts the test and then freezes. Ctrl alt delete does not work. I have to manually shut the computer off. Any ideas why this is happening?

Program isn't even opening. I started it on all 3 of the different options and it just crashes. Very disappointed.

That error usually means you do not have NET Framework 4 properly installed on your system.

Total freeze like that usually indicates problems with drivers or hardware. What kind of system? Which driver version? What do you have running in the background?

Just a little feedback.

I see you revamped your website a bit - much easier to understand what is what and pricing.

Nah it wasn;t .net. I had to manually install FutureMark and got it to work.

Supposedly Avira AV can block 3DMark from opening a browser. Are you using that by any chance?

Full version shows scores in the client. Demo is limited to showing them on the web.

I'm using Avira Internet Security. When I install 3DMark, it tells me that there is a trojan trying to be installed.

"The file 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\downloading\223850\bin\x86\dxinfo.exe'
contained a virus or unwanted program 'TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen' [trojan]
Action(s) taken:
The file was moved to the quarantine directory under the name '5ac8609d.qua'!"

So I removed that file. Hit run on 3DMark. The loading screen pops up then freezes. And finally, the program crashes.

What should I do?

That is a false positive. Reinstall and ignore the warning. I'll notify Avira that their product is mis-identifying this component.
