However, if no browser is opened at all, check that your system actually has a default web browser set. Also if you are using some minor browser, it may be that the browser (or your security software) refuses to open up when asked. We've verified the software to work with Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox and Opera.
Dou you still need online results with the full version or is this a client based solution?
Full version shows scores in the client. Demo is limited to showing them on the web.
I use Win8 x64 with built in Defender.
The problem with testing this is that I have to run the whole demo again to check if the button works.
Or can I shortcut around that somehow?
Windows Defender shouldn't interfere. In such case I'd triple-check that Firefox is set as default browser (for example, make a small .html file in desktop with notepad, double click that and see if Firefox opens it - if it does, it is properly set as default browser)
Also give it some time - 3DMark.com servers are getting hammered pretty hard at the moment. It should always show the result eventually but it can take up to several minutes for the site to respond. (this problem should go away by tomorrow as the launch peak passes)
Just for future releases: Maybe give some sort of feedback if such a button does not work, so the user sees that the button itself is actually trying to do something and is not broken (server unavailable, retry in blabla).
running Windows 7 64bit...maybe its that my video driver is beta version.
We actually recommend using 13.2 betas and 313.95/96 betas. If you are getting driver crashes, perhaps your system isn't fully stable? If overclocking, try without any overclocks. Also ensure no dust in GPU fans - GPU can get mighty hot during the tests.
It should automatically open so that it shows completely on screen, adapting based on your desktop resolution. What resolution are your running?
I do agree that it should save the position and size of the window when closing (yes, you can resize the window!). We have that logged as a defect for the first patch so plan is to make that better.
True. Our bad that the UI gives no indication that it is waiting for the server. In our tests this never happened :)
(of course in our tests we didn't get 4000+ results an hour...)
We've made changes to the backend already and added more hardware (Amazon Cloud luckily allows this) so it should be getting better already. We reacted as quickly as we could when the problems cropped up.

But if you plan on fixing so the window resizing actually saves then that would be awesome.
