How to use 3DMARK and all dlc PCMARK to fullest?

i purchased everything do i run a benchmark before i install new driver updates then run it after to see if there is a difference is that what I am doing?
I recently bought a gpu so i ran the benchmark to make sure the gpu was stable is that what it is for?
what are all the uses I want to do everything I can to test this PC what is every possible use Id like the best direction and guidance because my PC has been booting and not having usb power and not showing monitor display so I am also trying to troubleshoot it, how can i use 3DMark to troubleshoot.. so I have many questions trying to keep it simple also can i have my mobo tested?
