What is the best GPU overclocking tool?
Hello everyone. I have just started overclocking my GPUs a little this week. I am currently using inVidia Inspector. It works ok, but it doesn't really offer some of the options I would like to have like maybe turning off turbo boost to keep a stable clock speed or change the temprature for down throttling. What is the best or easiest overclocking software to use? The main thing I am liking about nVidia Inspector is it automatically adjust voltage as you OC the clock & memory speeds.

I am working with mobile 780M in SLI so please take that into account with any responses. ;)

the easiest and hardware safe is nvidia inspector
because it is limited, that is the reason it is safe

more advanced clockers would use MSI Afterburner, it has the most settings available (given if your gpu has the compatible BIOS). However, since MSI AB is very value sensitive (what you input is what you get), you can fry your gpu easily.

as for meself, I am using GpuTweak, since I am using a "specific" card by RoG (asus), which setting is blocked if I use any other software. interface wise, gputweak is simpler than msi ab

So you think I may should just stick with inVidia Inspector because I am not experienced with OCing? I am fine with that. I just wish I could turn up the temp limit before down throttling happens. My GPUs should be ok to go higher on temp than they do. I notice it starting to drop performance at 72C. This being a laptop 72C is easy to reach even with my cooling pad. The actual factory temp limit is 100C. That is when damage occures. I would like to change the down throttle temp to 90C.

Afterburner installs with core voltage locked, which is the feature that will fry your cards. You have to go into the settings and manually unlock it. When you change the other settings make small adjustments until your drivers crash, and then back it down a little.

And don't leave the fan speed on auto. Turn it up as high as your comfortable with. It gets loud.
