GTX 970 SLI - Blackscreen / half-freeze
Hello everybody!

i have some issues with my new SLI Setup.
I already had a MSI GTX 970 4G and today my second one was delivered.

The installation was easy and without problems. I enabled SLI in the nVidia options and tried some games (Witcher 3, Batman Arkam Knights). No Lags, no freezes.

Now i wanted to face off the old results with the SLI setup.

Everytime i start the test of the 3Dmark (Basic and 11) Demo, it seems to start but then the system seems to be frozen and the screen ist black. after round about 30-40 seconds, i can try to close it.

Does anybody know why this is happening?

Thank u very much and a nice weekend to everyone!

My System:

CPU i7 - 4770k
MB MSI MPower z87
16 GB DDR3
2x MSI GTX 970 4G (Driver 355.98)
Be Quiet Dark Power Pure 11 750w
Windows 10 Pro. N (mediakit installed)

*edit*

Sorry, i forgot to say ... it is working when i disable the SLI

Do both cards work individually?

Tested with another SLI bridge in case you have a bad bridge?

I was having the same trouble with amd gpu on crossfire, when I disable this feature 3d Mark works, but if I enable crossfire X the pc freeze and I have to restart.

3DMark works just fine with Crossfire so if enabling it freezes the system, you have definitely some issues.

Only theoretically possible thing would be a compatibility problem with the SystemInfo component - you can try disabling it and then specifying the GPU count manually in the Help tab and see if that allows you to run the test. IMPORTANT: On multi-GPU configurations, the "GPU Count" must be set manually to correct value if you disable systeminfo (and also the result will then be missing all hardware details) - this is purely to rule out any issues related to the hardware scan component.
