Scores dropped down since the Steel Nomad release
Have anyone else noticed a small score drop in Time Spy after steel nomad release?
Before update i had stable 28400+ graphic score with my rtx 4080. After steel nomad release my TimeSpy scores have dropped by ~300 and now i cant even hit 28100 graphic score.

No, I don't experience that. My score today is 18,622 - 19,411 Graphics and 15,136 CPU, and my score from 8 May was 18,673 - 19.564 Graphics and 14,845 CPU. Those are both within normal variation over several days from what I've experienced.

300 points of difference is only a little over 1% of difference for that score and is likely within natural variance. So, that by itself is not troubling imo.

Also, regular Time Spy is too low difficulty for a 4080 system. If you didn't know, Time Spy Extreme is a better benchmark for your system.

I have about 200 runs of Time Spy with 28400+. Drop to 28100 is not a natural variance. The reason seems to be within "Graphic Test 1". I can see a ~5 fps drop in this suite with Graphic Test 2 working as before the patch. Not a major problem but still.

You sure this is not just variance between driver versions? We have made no changes to Time Spy.

1% difference is still well within usual margin of error, but of course if this is easily repeatable, it may be quite real. Problem here is that 4080 is so fast that Time Spy is CPU limited, so small differences in things like your background programs using more CPU can dip the score in this test. This is why we are replacing Time Spy with Steel Nomad. It is just too lightweight for modern high end GPUs.

Looks like this is related to Nvidia driver version. On every driver version above (not including) 552.44 scores in every 3dmark test (Including steel nomad) are lower than on 552.44 and below versions. Will contact nvidia support to investigate this.

Agree; I have had similar results here -- I'm going to compare 551.86 to 552.44 this weekend to see if the trend goes back even further, but 552.44 drivers have been outstanding for everything on my 4090.

Edit: got a little bit of an overall score bump with 551.86 versus 552.44, not really enough to justify switching, but some of the scores were nice.

I get lower scored on timespy extreme test 1, about 5 fps lower than I used to get. I have tried reverting to old drivers etc, all the other tests I've done seem fine though.

It's the same with me, every driver above 552.44 are underperforming, and it's showing in my games as well.
Iv also noticed my 5900x has dropped from 13k to 11k in cpu score for time spy a year apart, iv tried everything and put it down to windows 11 24h2 so until they fix it then we are missing out of cpu gaming performance...
