Keeps getting stuck at either 87%, 97%, or just sits at 0%, every other test installs fine, anyone else having this issue?

Verifying installation seems to have helped. When I first installed 3DMark Steam said it would require something like 3.4GB of disk space, but once it was completed it was less than 900MB. It successfully verified all files and didn't automatically download anything, but when I relaunched 3DMark and clicked install on the time spy benchmark it started a 1.7GB download through Steam.

Access is denied? Sounds like you have some kind of permission issue or an antivirus software is going berserk? (We heard some reports that Avast was quarantining something, but we tried to check all the exes and DLLs with virustotal and there were no complaints so not sure)

-no family sharing
-no pending steam or 3dmark updates
-DLCS are ticked as installed

yet dx12 test is the onyl one that is not installed according to 3dmark itself. When I press install it just sits at 0% forever.

Everythign else any game or software works fine, nothing is wrong with my steam client.

I tried restarting steam, uninstalling\installing, nothing has helped.

And you do not have AVAST or some other antivirus blocking anything by any chance?

Okay after I delete all local content and reinstall 3smark, then when I hit install on timespy - steam downloads the 1.7gb update and it says installing in the app and actually goes to 100%, it then switches to run for just a brief second and then immediately switches back to install and that's where it will stay at 0% if I hit install again

..and you are sure that you dont have anything that might be blocking access to it / damaging it?

It almost sounds like the install completes just fine, then suddenly Steam gives the status "not installed" and it throws it back to 0%. We use Steam client for everything related to download & install, so what Steam actually does there is bit of out of our hands.

Perhaps you should ask Steam support since this is more of a Steam client issue?

please tell me you are joking, steam support is utterly useless and takes about a week before a response

Well, you can download the standalone installer and use that instead.

Downloaded it on multiple computers, keeps coming back as a corrupt archive, but its still installing so thats fine, now timespy is actually installing, is there a way to transfer my key from the 3dmark I have on steam to the 3d mark basic version i just downloaded? They key that is in the steam version says it's invalid when I try and put it in field on the basic edition i downloaded

I have AV but it's not blocking anything, I checked and even disabled it.

Anyways, I just downloaded the whole package from 3dmark site and activated both keys there.

The key that is shown in the 3DMark UI (show key) should definitely work on the standalone. Make sure you don't accidentally add any spaces around it.
