White screen at launch win 10
Just as title says launching 3D mark brings up nothing but a white screen. Bought this exclusively for the Dx12 test, and can't use it at all. However reverting to previous version via steam beta works fine. Help please. Bought this to test out my new EVGA GTX 1070 Ftw.

Okay it was my antivirus not allowing it to launch. lame that I have to figure that out.

Sorry, only saw the message now. Had you opened a support request at http://www.futuremark.com/support as is suggested in the sticky, I would've replied a lot sooner.

Indeed if you have "security" software that "secures" all connections to localhost (blocks them), 3DMark won't work. Ad Aware is known to do this, as well as some antivirus applications. 3DMark is not the only thing that would be broken by this - a lot of applications use TCP connections to localhost to communicate between components of the software.

Hmm I think my antivirus is disabled but I do use Gamefirst IV to shut down unneccesary services and programs. I will Try again with just the antivirus disabled and nothing else.

No guarantee that 3DMark is compatible with Gamefirst IV randomly shutting down Windows components.

Ok I'm still having issues. Previous version works fine but not current one. Start up computer, run no other programs, virus software off, firewwall off open software and I get a blank window where the choices of the tests should be. Nothing to choose from.

This means something in your system is blocking connections to localhost. Sorry, don't know what it may be. Note that if you have ad-aware, just turning it off apparently won't help - you actually have to uninstall it.

It eventually came up. I'm going to need to run a full system diagnostic to figure out what could have caused it. What do you recommend? I do have a lifetime free checkup with computers plus would that be the best option?

Note that it can take a couple of seconds for the UI to open on the very first startup (due to some checksums that are being verified) - perhaps a bit more if you are using spinning HDD instead of SSD.

But if that's not it, sorry, issues with Windows and/or third party applications are kinda beyond what I can help with.

You said the exact same thing to me when I reported this issue Jarnis, I did a full and complete reinstall of Windows 10 and the issue persisted and still persists to this day.

Its about time you acknowledge that you have an issue and get a fix in place for it because it is not our PCs causing this, if it was then why would mine work upto the point where it downloaded Timespy then never work again afterwards and why can I opt into the beta to remove timespy and it works again?

I want to know this as well because that is exactly my issue. And a few seconds? Try twenty minutes or more yet when it booted up time spy itself ran fine. And gave me a proper score. Something's wrong with the program.

Guys... I can help....
Seems 3DMark is using by default a broken or incompatible Java SE version (required for 3DMark to run).
You need to uninstall any Java SE version on your machine (if have one) and install the last one from official site. After that 3DMark will open again.

Well that helped a little, it made the splash screen witht he spinning circle dssapear and the main 3d mark windows title change from ... to 3DMark Advanced Edition but its still just showing a blank white screen.

The app also now shows as an App in task manager and not a background process so it is progress.
