can't instal 3dmark 2013 in administrator mode

hi..

iam using win 7 64bit, 16gb ram, msi gtx 970 gaming 4gb...

i have older 3dmark 2013 full version (bonus from msi vga), now i want to upgrade .... usually there is no problem at all ....

but right now, after download the files (from 3d guru link), everytime i want to instal... there is an error;


--> you appear to be running this installation in adminsitrator mode, please do not run the installation with elevated privileges until prompted


so, i cant upgrade my older 3dmark....


how to fix those error?? :(

This is Steam forum, perhaps you should ask about standalone issues from Futuremark support. http://www.futuremark.com/support

Anyway, re-enable UAC or run the installer from the command line using

3dmark-setup.exe /quiet /install

The issue will be fixed in the next update to the standalone version.

Or you can just start your old version (assuming it is 2.0.xxxx) and use the self-update.

setup exe -right click - properties, cant use there... :(

start command prompt (type "cmd" to search box of windows and hit enter)
go to the folder where your installer is. For example, if your installer files are at C:\3DMarkInstall, type

cd C:\3DMarkInstall
3dmark-setup.exe /quiet /install

but my CMD, its start with c:\users\my name\ ... ??

so use the cd command to go to the directory where you unzipped the installer
if you unzipped it to desktop, type:

cd desktop
cd foldernamewhereyouunzippedthefiles

...or just re-enable UAC

the system cant find the path specified

the directory name is invalid

lets simplify this a bit.

Make a new folder under C:\ named "3dmark"

Copy the contents of the zip file to that folder

start command prompt

type:

cd c:\3dmark [enter]

3dmark-setup.exe /quiet /install [enter]

And there we are. 2 years later. This "Fix" still does not work at all. At some point there is nothing else to say than this "program" is pure garbage. Dont waste your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and look for a actually working product. There are a lot of good working benchmarks out there. ♥♥♥♥ 3dmark. ♥♥♥♥ futuremark.

Why are you complaining about a standalone version issue on Steam forums?

You apparently use Steam, so why not use Steam version? It works even if you insist on turning UAC off.
