How to install 3DMark Wild Life Extreme on Apple M1 computer??

I literally bought 3DMark just so I could use the new 3DMark Wild Life Extreme benchmark on my new M1 Max. It is advertised in the description as working on M1 Macs, but now that I've bought it, I can't seem to figure out how to install it? It says it's Windows only. Any help please?

You can't install the Steam version, it is Windows only. The version of 3DMark that you can run on M1 macs is the one in Apple App Store. It is primarily for iPhones and iPads, but it runs on M1 macs and the workload is the same and the results are comparable - with the caveat that the Apple version has no online services - no result upload etc.

Is that version free? This is very misleading because on Steam it mentions that Wild Life Extreme is included and it mentions, on Steam, that it runs on M1 Macs

Yes, the apple app store version is free. If you made a mis-purchase of the Windows version, I recommend you refund your purchase from Steam.
