My score with CPU OC from 3.6 GHz to 5 GHz.
4567 Total average is 4945
6679 CPU average is 8794
Graphics card 1080ti that is also OC
Everything runs stable. Temp never above 87c when stress testing.
I am not sure what is my problem.
Something else bottlenecking? CPU score by your listed numbers seems low.
Not really after a result, more trying to make sure my CPU is working as it should.
And from 3dmark my result tells me somethings not right when it comes to CPU performance.
Is the CPU-test supposed to only use about 90% of CPU?
My set up: CPU: i9 10850k
MB: Asus ROG Strix z490f
Cooling: Corsair H115i Platinum
PSU: Corsair RM850x
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 64GB
GPU: MSI 1080Ti
It's a new build. except from GPU.
All at default: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/17308001
OC: CPU all cores 5GHZ and GPU +71 Core +401 Memory: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/17306715
Clock frequency
3,600 MHz (3,600 MHz)
Meaning it never turboed over 3600Mhz.
Some setting somewhere is wrong. Power profile in Windows or some BIOS setting.
OCd result did turbo to 5GHz but the score is still way too low. Definitely not normal.
First thing I'd try is to ensure motherboard BIOS is up to date and reset all BIOS settings to optimized defaults.
I posted about it on Asus forums. That is true at default settings.
My result is till low when overclocked.
Just wondering, is the CPU test supposed to only use CPU at about 90% it's the same utilization when OC and Default.
I do have the latest bios. And i have tried all kinds of settings in BIOS, still boots up at default.
Intel XTU is able to OC with no problems.
Still 3dmark has helped me discovering that my CPU is under performing even OC to 5GHZ. About 2000 points.
I thank 3dmark for that. Else i would not know.
Seems like My MB might be the problem. Have made a post about it at Asus.
But the score is definitely way low for this CPU model and since it does not appear to be thermal throttling, something else is wrong.
Yes something with my MB is not right.
Not that easy to get help from Asus.
The test i did was custom CPU test.
It is running at 5GHZ during the test. i am starting to wonder if the other scores maybe is not comparable for some reason?
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/56954489?
What is your most recent result for the complete test? This one? https://www.3dmark.com/spy/17487670
That puts you at 27th on the list for all testers with your CPU/GPU when ranking by CPU score, or 35th when ranking by overall score. I'd say that's pretty good, as in, well above average for that hardware combo.
Edit: BTW, you have a lot of scores live and viewable in the search rankings. If you wouldn't mind, would you hide most of them by clicking the "Hide Result" button on the scores you don't want to show so that more people can see how they stack up in the search results?
I was looking at the average score from the CPU test in Time Spy Extreme Custom CPU test.
It says comparable systems. Average is 8300 my Score of 6700 is low compared.
So is that not a comparable score? Isn't it compared to same CPU/GPU? It says so.
Using the Search feature on the 3dmark website, I find a 3DMark Time Spy Extreme average overall score of 4861 for your combo, and the highest score (with a single GPU) of 5286.
My latest Full run on time spy extreme was 4938, and that is not bad.
