GPU-Score way too low
I am currently experimenting with 3DMark. My GPU score is about 11800.
According to 3DMark's search function, the average tester has a score around 14000 points. The best even 16000. According to the Gaus curve, 98% of all test results are better than mine. I have set the following:

GPU count: 1
GPU: 2080 ti
CPU: 3900x
Type: Desktop
memory channels: 2

This corresponds to my system. Does anyone have any experience with what this could be due to or what I am doing wrong?

First thing; Whenever asking about odd result, provide a link to the result on 3dmark.com.

Beyond that, 2080ti stock is about 14000 Graphics Score in Time Spy. If you are getting substantially less than that, something is wrong.

Hey UL_Jarnis, thanks for your answer. Here's the link: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/12327695

I also assume that something is going wrong here. I have an MSI Gaming X Trio 2080ti, which is considered one of the strongest 2080ti in most tests. Therefore I cannot understand the score at all. Do you have any experience what could be the reason for that? Thanks for your help!

Your graphics score is indeed about 2000 points too low. First that comes to mind is that your Windows 10 is old, May 2019 update. The November 2019 update had some improvements that might matter in this case.

So first thing I'd do is update Windows 10, preferably to May 2020 version (2004) and try again.

Then the next thing to verify would be to see if it matters what NVIDIA driver setting for power saving is. Default is Optimal, does changing to prefer maximum performance change the result?

Hello, my 2080Ti: 14,992. You are quite low for the card.

For reference, my single card 2080 Ti score stock settings is a little over 15k.

A little under 27k in SLI.

Thanks for your answers. I think I owe you an explanation why the score was so low. Meanwhile, I suspected a damaged power plug. So I opened my pc and checked all power plugs on the side of the graphics card and on the side of the power supply. It turned out that I had plugged a cable into the 12-pin connector, which split into 6-pin and 8-pin. Because of this the graphics card had apparently too little power and therefore did not perform well enough. Meanwhile I come to almost 15000 points.

#jerk #no idea about hardware #I am ashamed
