Stress test error
hi, i'm having some wierd issue with the 3D Mark advanced edition and any help would be very much appreciated. i don't have a lot of experience in this software yet so sorry if i'm a noob.

The thing is that when i run the stress tests [ For example Time Spy Extreme or Fire Strike Ultra ] it loops all the tests 20 times as it should be normally with out any problems - all temps and values are very good and solid while i monitor them all. After finishing the final loop of the stress test it just quit the test and i get a message in the red bar at the program saying - Some error was accourd and the test stopped but in fact the stress test is over.

is this some bug with the software or maybe it's a problem on my end or i'm doing something wrong ?

My PC Specs Are - RTX2080TI, i7 9700k oc'ed, 16GB of ram, Windows 10 64-bit 1909 edition.

thank you! :)

First thing to try would be to do it without any OCs.

If problem keeps occurring and you have eliminated any nonessential background programs that might interfere, please send a result file from Documents/3DMark/ folder from the failed run and I'll take a look.

You mention monitoring temps. That sounds like an overlay. Overlays can cause this type of error. Try disabling them.

Thank you for the quick response, i very much appreciate it!
i did more testing with out any monitoring software and it seems to be pretty random.
i just finished a stress tests of port royal, time spy and time spy extreme with out any problems.

btw i wanted to ask another question if i can:

i left my PC on infinite looping on time spy test but when i checked my pc at the morning i found out that my PC is on but it's just screen froze [at about 4:44 am accourding to the time bar] so i had to do a hard restart.

is it possible that this happened due to my monitoring overlay on the background or my OC?

There is no results file for this so i wonder how can i know what was the reason of this freeze...

CPU and GPU temps were at about 60-70c stable.

thank you for help :)

Hard freeze (ie. CTRL+ALT+DEL does not work) is always hardware-related in some way. Most likely cause would be that the OC was not 100% stable.
