5930K, asus X99 sabertooth, GTX 1080 are my specs so would expect to be able to run it fine.
This has inconvenienced me greatly. Timespy should be full unlocked free if it is to break other tools.
EDIT: Disabling SysInfo leads into "Oops! An error occured, - Workload produced no results."
It is known that on X99 chipset motherboards the scan can currently take over a minute.
But it definitely should not hang for 10+ minutes (and never complete).
Do you by any chance have any other hardware monitoring utilties running? Those could cause a conflict with multiple tools accessing low level data from processor & motherboard at the same time.
Also anyone facing this issue, please list your motherboard model and, if possible BIOS version (and verify that the BIOS version is the latest). Will investigate this.
Trying to run firestrike ultra benchmark, or any benchmark. It sits in "collecting system info" for a long time and then kicks me to an result screen telling me there was an error, incomplete, etc. I've tried diasbling the check for systeminfo, no dice.
I have a MSI GT72VR-6RE laptop with i7 6700hq, 16 go and a GTX 1070.
Everything seems broken nowadays with Nvidia drivers and Win10...
So tiring...
I want to confirm as well that this worked for me. Make sure that 3DMark has closed (restart steam to be sure). Then, right click on 3DMark and go to properties. Then go to the Beta tab. In the first drop down menu, select the option that says "previous version". Now hit ok/apply. It should now download the previous version, and I was able to run the benchmarks.
The issue must be with the newest version of 3DMark.
To confirm, after the benchmark has run it will say it cannot validate the result due to not recongnising the cpu, gfx card ect. I even tried reinstalling 3d mark and that made no difference.
All i have changed hardware wise is installing a new usb card and SSD for games, Kept on top of driver and windows updates.
PC spec as listed in dxdiag :-
