GPU-Z file creation failed
Is an error I've been getting after resetting my PC (choosing to keep some of the stuff that was on the PC beforehand rather than a complete vipe of the system drive). I've managed to run one test after I deleted the Futuremark files that were in the user documents folder and reinstalling it but it still pops up even in the run that actually worked. Previously it would only run the demo and it wouldn't launch the actual benchmarks. Haven't tried it after the 1 run that worked only to see if the file creation error came up again in the beginning.

Bug. Revert to SystemInfo 5.6 or just try repeatedly until it works. Waiting for a fix from GPU-Z developer.

Update on this; At least some users have this happening due to Malwarebytes interfering with GPU-Z creation of temporary files. So if you run into this, try killing Malwarebytes temporarily.

GPU-Z 2.17.0 released recently has solved this issue, hope SystemInfo will be updated soon.
