Hmm going to check if the new Systeminfo update helped and double check mobo power cables still attached ok otherwise time to upgrade that ol' PSU then ... I suspected as much really but hoped it was still fine and this was just a known driver / benchmark issue.
Current PSU: OCZ stealthstream 2 700w which runs everything else fine @ 100% loads including other torture tests / benchmarks except 3dmark Timespy DX12 and OpenCL @ 100% GPU loads fine. No spring chicken anymore it seems...
Will post here if the issue doesn't go away after I install the new Corsair PSU
Hi so can confirm the PSU was getting past it. Praise be to 3dmark for helping me expose the true culprit for my rig's very intermittent shutdowns and graphical glitches.
I was able to reproduce the issue every time ( I couldn't on other benchmarks) on the extreme 3dmark benchmarks which helped me localise the issue.
Yep faulty PSU confirmed, cool that 3dmark is so consistent at this as I was able to pinpoint faulty PSU this way :D
