Note: Windows October Update (1809) May Disable SystemInfo Service
Like before, installation of the new October Update (1809) may disable Futuremark SystemInfo service.

To fix this, uninstall Futuremark SystemInfo from program list, then do Verify Application Cache in Steam to re-trigger the install or reinstalling Futuremark SystemInfo manually ( https://benchmarks.ul.com/systeminfo )

Need a bit more information than that to even guess what is up. Is SystemInfo installed and what version (did you try reinstalling it?) What exactly doesn't work? What kind of system you have?

Can you verify that Futuremark systemInfo service is set to Automatic in services.msc (type services.msc to search box, hit enter to see list of windows services)

We've heard several reports of systems mystically ending up with this service as Disabled, which can break 3DMark.

Still can't get this to work when I open 3DMark the system info things show loading, when I want to start a test it keeps loading them forever. I have tested all this with a PC restart after every step:
1. Reinstall in 3DMark in Steam
2. Manually uninstalling SystemInfo even with Revo uninstaller (made shure all registry entries were gone!)
3. Installing the SystemInfo via "Verify Application Cache" in Steam
4. Uninstalling and Installing the SystemInfo via the lastest file Futuremark_SystemInfo_5_15_699.msi
5. Testing an old version Futuremark_SystemInfo_5_6_660
6. Going into services.msc and set the programm from manuall start to automatic (had not touched this before)
7. Disable ani virus
8. making shure its running as an admin

Every time the SystemInfo file gets stuck, I can't even close it in task manager. Steam won't close too. So I have to force restart by windows to close it.

Still can't open 3DMark and it stuck in the opening scene forever. I've tried the following steps:
1. Reinstall 3DMark
2. Verify Application Cache after uninstalling the systeminfo
3. Restart the computer
4. Run as the admin
5. Open directly through 3DMark folder (can't connect to steam problem)
6. Wait for over 1 hour
My computer is ROG Strix Scar II GL504GS with i7-8750H, GTX1070 8GB, I wonder whether it effects?

Any update on our problem?
Since todays 3DMark update and the latest windows update from today its still not working. Uninstalled everything and reinstalled still nothing. Only working fix: Go into C:\Program Files (x86)\Futuremark\SystemInfo open FMSIDiag.exe and go into the Advanced tab. Disable the following options:

DirectDraw
Direct Query Info
DirectX Info

After doing that run 3DMark again and it will work and show all system info instantly and correct...

Sounds like your system has a broken DirectX runtime which breaks bits that query about older DirectX versions.

Try reinstalling this:

Yah already tested that the download from this link says there already is an equivalent version installed. I installed this one because it fixed the problem before but it did not help this time: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

Something very odd going on with your OS then. If I were you, I'd consider OS reinstall. Those very basic DirectX queries should not be failing.

Edit: Maybe do sfc /scannow from admin command prompt to verify OS files?

I reinstalled my OS already after your last update 1 month ago broke 3D Mark, why do I have to reinstall windows every time you bring out a new version of SystemInfo? Maybe you shoud look on your side before you blame everyone with errors from your programm. No other programm / game has any problems on my PC, I send you all log files and everything and I can even upload testes after I disable this 3 (useless ?!) infos. Why can't you tell me how to find out what exactly is happening? Why are you requesting this info? Why can my DirectX diognosis programm show all this info?
