Unfortunately this G-sync warning for systems which have no g-sync display seems to be NV driver issue.

Only way to fix it that I know of is to do a driver reinstall and choose custom install -> perform a clean install that resets all driver settings to default.

What causes it is that you change quality slider in NV drivers at all, it will internally enable g-sync even if you have no such display (this does nothing, except give wrong info when we query from the driver if g-sync is on) and unfortunately even if you move the slider back to default, this never disables g-sync.

You can safely ignore the notification if you have no g-sync monitor.

You can use NVIDIA inspector and turn off gsync in the setting. For reasons unknown it's hidden in NVIDIA control panel.

why is hidden?

It is hidden if you have no g-sync monitor.

The bug of course is that it should never be "on" if you do not have a compatible monitor, but it seems it can do that and that trips up the warning in 3DMark.

You can safely ignore the warning if you do not own a G-sync monitor.

http://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/g-sync/faq

In short, a monitor type that has special NVIDIA hardware inside that allows it to fluidly modify the refresh rate so you never get any tearing, but the framerate is also not locked (unless your framerate goes over the refresh rate of the monitor - usually 144hz or 165hz)

Problem for 3DMark is that if framerate is capped by the refresh rate of the monitor (for example, running Sky Diver on a very fast system and getting over 144fps), the score would be less than it should be as the framerate is limited by G-Sync.
