Where do you get a fish without fishing?

I bought and hatched both a Goldbark and Barkski Ambrio only to end up with a ginger tabby out of each egg. Is this intentional (i.e. random), or are the dogs just not in game yet?

So this is kind of an unusual problem, but I wanted to bring it up because the dev seems fairly responsive - there is a rank 2 quest title along the lines of "Wake Up, You've Been In a Coma For 5 Years." When getting too many duplicates of a card, it says that they are broken down into "fragments." I do not remember any tutorials about these and I cannot find any other information about them in game. I was wondering what they are and what they do, or if it is something unimplemented. Thanks!...

This is one of my new favorite games! However…some things still feel unclear. How do you hatch a cute animal? I can’t place it in the barn, so do I just carry it around? Keep making a great game! Much love -J
