Medpacks bro. How do I use them?
Haven't played too much of the orginal XCOM/UFO Enemy Unknown. I have no idea how to use the medpacks in ground combat.

1. Have the solder holding the medkit right next to the target solder (the one that needs the healing)

2. Have the solder with the medkit equip it in the weapon slot (replacing their weapon)

3. Click on medkit in weapon slot (bottom of screen) and target wounded solder. Right click to apply as many TUs as needed and left click to heal.

Swap medpack with weapon.
Make sure wounded soldier is standing.
Face wounded soldier.
Left click medpack.
When wounded soldier turns green with cross on head left click.
Repeat as needed untill grey area in health slider turns red.

Is there a way to heal a soldier to the point where he stops bleeding out? I had a squadmate heal a wounded comrade back to full, but next turn he continued to lose HP. He survived due to continued medical actions and a pair of medkits, but it effectively took 2 soldiers off the front line that mission

My bleeding soldiers have all had their bleeding stopped after a couple of uses of the medkit (and maybe after just one). Haven't run into such a situation yet.

Sigh, the game can't hint that from combat HUD? A tooltip or some crap damit.
You don't need another soldier either, the wounded one can heal themselves with medkit too. Makes more sense to use another soldier though if whatever caused the bleeding is still shooting at you.

Dam I hadn't realized a soldier could heal himself, thanks to pinpoint it even if it's somehow obvious. Not that it would have change the fate of any combat but it can be useful.

The right click isn't obvious either. It's weird that I played JA2 and if I remember well it's right the same, equip medkit, go close wounded, "shoot' medkit on him. And I had no problem, perhaps have a medic in team or some tooltips helped.
