This may not be the place for a philosophical debate, but one does not necessarily need a pulse and blood flow in order to be alive. It can be argued that all one needs to be "alive" is to be aware of one's surroundings, and to be (more or less) aware of one's self. Sure, there are currently no inorganic examples of such a thing on Earth at this juncture, there may come a time when the concept of "living" will need to be re-evaluated, as synthetics become increasingly more intelligent.
And at that point, when the concept of life being flesh, blood, bone and bile is revised to include a synthetic, one must retroactively look at simpler species. An ant -- a creature that lives to move objects with its mouth, and absolutely nothing else -- is a life. Under such a re-evaluated definition of life, if a simple creature like an ant is a life, then a simple synthetic like a cleaner drone or service robot is also a life.
Robots = depends if Deckard really is a replicant
Meter Maid = no life
Seems cut and dried to me, end of philosophical debate.
Kidding, of course, I love half-assed philosphical debates on STEAM, and firmly believe everybody should be engaged in at least one.
Were you using any mods? There is a mod that allows you to capture Androns and start an Andron revolt.
There is no official Xenopedia entry for Andron capture.
