X-division: Is editing a unit's resistance possible?
is there a place I can edit the armor resistance/health pools of enemies? if so, how?

simply put the androns ruin this mod for me. it takes 4-6 soldiers to take ONE down on average and only at point blank, and that's with laser weapons.

kinetic weapons? never heard of them. entirely useless because of the presence of androns in this mod bumps that average of 4 soldiers up to about 8-10 to take down one andron with kinetic weapons. this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laughable and not fun.

yes, I have a quantum decryption center and no it doesnt help the problem. I still have to spend up to 20k per andron mission just on EMP explosives and equip EVERY soldier with a laser weapon even when it doesnt suit them.

if terrorist missions have androns then I skip them. the last terror mission with androns literally took me 4 hours. this is not fun

X-division wasn't designed to be fun, it was designed by masochists for masochists who enjoy losing. If you have fun playing X-division, then there's something fundamentally wrong with you.
But yes you can go into the game files and edit enemy stats, weapon stats, and just about anything else you would want to.
For editing enemy armor/HP you go to Xenonauts\assets\mods\X-Division\aiprops.xml then search for whatever alien race (like Androns) and change their stats to whatever you want. For example a phase 1 andron guard has <Armour kinetic="50" energy="9" chemical="200" incendiary="12" />. Just change those numbers to however much armor you want them to have.

I have fun with it, but I always knew I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the head so that's no surprise.

My frustration with x-div androns specifically is that the kinetic resist makes two giant weapon catalogs from the mod unusable on a logical level, which is where I stop having fun. I enjoy losing but only with variety.

Anyway thanks a bunch, just reduced their kinetics a bit

beef up weapons instead. Not overpower, but more ammo per mag, little less TU to use, and a bit better accuracy. way more fun instead. At least untill the horse manure starts crashing constantly and corrupting saves.
