Medkit failure... glitch or intentional?
So I have this thing happen, sometimes, where I will go to use a medkit to save someones life who is about to bleed to death, and using the medkit will drain all of my remaining TU's, and only heals one HP without stopping the bleeding. I have noticed that it seems to always happen when I use the medkit as the final action of a soldier's turn, and never seems to happen if I expect to have spare TU's after activating the medkit.

I have googled this a bit, and found some old forum conversations on other sites where players have said this was a bug, but these convos were YEARS old and, even with extensive community modding of this game, the "bug" still exists. So, my question is:

*IS* this a bug, or some kind of intended feature? Are my soldiers "failing" some attribute check, or am I mishandling the item in some way? This is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me off, because I seem to be encountering this problem more and more often, to the point where I can scarecely ever trust my medkits to work anymore; I'm counting a roughly 35% failure rate!

I have lost several soldiers and dozens of turns, already, and I am growing increasingly furious each time I see it. Just before coming to write this post I failed *FOUR TIMES IN A ROW* to heal the same soldier, and watched him bleed to death while literally *SURROUNDED* by allies trying to save him...

wtf?

100% a bug. You can prevent it by simply using the smallest action first ( right click ) and then use the rest of the medikit. Never fails teh second time.

Omg, thanks. So you mean that I can right-click to cycle through TU usuage on medkits the same way I would cycle through TU usage when aiming a gun?

I just tried it, and it failed twice in a row...

impossible.

Step 1: Cycle to the lowest healing power ( 5 TU )
Step 2: Use the whatever healing power you need ( in the same turn with the same medikit)

Repeat for every other medikit and every turn.

Look, I appreciate the help, and it does succeed MORE often when I lower the TU cost, but it still fails rather often, even when I do that. I have dropped to 5 TU and seen it fail three or four times, even that way.

I would say it still fails about one fourth of the times that I use it, even on 5 TU :/
