Xenonauts: Community Edition

For those who do not know, there is an updated version of Xenonauts available, called Xenonauts: Community Edition (X:CE). Compared to the original game, X:CE has hundreds of tweaks in the forum of performance and bug fixes, UI additions and more.

You can switch to X:CE on Steam: right-click Xenonauts in your Steam Libary, choose Properties -> Betas, and choose "community" from the list. No access code is needed. After choosing the community version, Steam will download X:CE and will keep it updated with future releases of X:CE.

X:CE is not only compatible with Xenonauts mods but also required for many popular mods.

It's a very small updated, mostly enables some features for the next version of the X-Division mod so doesn't change anything for others. There's also one important bug fix - I fixed a crash that would occur if stunned soldiers got caught in an explosion.

when i update it on mac osx it always say when i wanna start it after download that a file is missing also after second try i dont work for me any help ?

Due to how Steam works, you can only use the X:CE Steam branch on Windows. On Linux and Mac, you should be using the Windows version of X:CE with Wine. I know it usually works very well on Linux, but I have zero experience with Macs.

How can we play this game in french is it in using this mod ?

A French translation is included with X:CE, you just need to turn it on (it will automatically be on if your PC is set to French language).

That's not going to happen unfortunately. Steam only allows a set of achievements for an entire game, not a branch (or DLC). X:CE is a separate branch so I cannot add achievements into just X:CE, while the original version isn't getting updated anymore.

an issue. it seams the download for CE stops at 45%, but the lighter version stops at 100% and stalls there. opt out of beta is fine.

Maybe delete the entire game first, or just restart Steam. Download problems on Steam are usually temporary and solved by such steps.

ya what i did is delete the entire game from directory and out. then selected CE before applying to reinstall. it only installed in KB/s though. wile if i put it in que, PayDay2 will download in MB/s. only one this is downloading at a time.
