as the title says...
could someone tell me what the difference is between
Ys I complete and chronicle
and
Ys ll complete and chronicle ?

dont get me wrong i dont mean to disrespect the game and all it looks a very good game
id just like to know what the differences are between the 2 games and each of the modes?

is it just graphics or is there more to it then that ?

oh and is there any order i should play them in like
ive seen that i should play Ys l then Ys ll
but what i mean is should i play complete first or chronicle first ?

There are two Complete and Chronicles settings, both affect visuals.

The one in the Configuration application refers to the display. Complete is 4:3, zoomed out and the game screen surrounded by a visual frame with UI information in the framing. Chronicles is 16:9, zoomed in and the UI is overlayed onto the game screen.

The one in the in-game Options screen (and the prompt when you start a New Game) simply refers to the character portrait art.

There are no gameplay differences, there is no meaning to playing one first.

The in-game setting is just different character art. Ys I and II are still two different games, so no, not all 4 options are the same.

You should play Ys I before Ys II.

It is different arts in ending of YsII. Chronicles show us more about goddesses and complete about other people. In other moments it's just alternative arts, nothing new.

Thanks for the responses, I came here to ask about the difference between 2001/20009.

Is YS Origin a prequel of these 2 games? Should I play that first?

It is a prequel, but you don't need to play it first.
