Also, it gets easier the more damage you do.
As far as actual tips, one thing to note is that when you damage the boss, while the heads may swap positions, the projectiles also change directions each hit. Aside from that, you might try to get in several hits at the beginning of the fight, quickly alternating between heads as they intersect with one another. It's risky, but if you can get off a few hits, it helps; I find that once you get out of the 4 projectile phase, the fight generally becomes easier. Lastly, I've seen that some people move with the head after damaging it (walking may help in this regard), though of course you still need to be careful once the heads intersect again.
Using Silver sword, battle shield, Battle Armor. Have tried both the power ring and the shield ring.
I understand the mechanics of switching between the two, but I can't seem to aim myself where I am not taking significantly more damaging then I'm dishing out. This guy is causing me why more trouble then the bat guy did.
As the previous poster noted, you missed the Flame Sword, which will help significantly. Aside from that, don't worry about using equipment rings for bosses, as they don't function then in Ys I. For Ys II, the equipment accessories will work then, but Ys I is weird about it for some reason.
Best strategy to beat this Boss is when the Yellow head starts to move down (and as far away from other Head when possible), thats the moment you have to strike and walk in and walk out above, do not turn back to move out. When he has 3 crystals, wait when he is as near as possible to ur safe zone, wait for the the opening, walk in -> turn back down for safety. when he has 2 crystal, the 4 crystal tactic is good. Hardest parts are 4 Crystals and 2 Crystals.
P.S. Are you playin Complete or Chronicles? i guess Complete is way harder then Chronicles, i know the Artworks and Soundtracks are also diffrent.
Eternal did have a bunch of stuff that got removed in Complete though. @_@
The gameplay is the same no matter which version you pick within Chronicles+.
I kinda wish they re-released an even more complete version of Ys 1&2 with every features from Eternal/Complete (the dev room, the guide menu and other stuff)
Seriously? This would be great! Thanks!
After i beat the game on nightmare, i did some research... and well, i should have locked the fps to 60, played till the end with 180fps... but the feeling tho beatin Dark Fact with 180fps X_x
Forgot to implement 60fps lock on Ys Chronicles+. 3rd and End Boss are insane OP with 180fps.
