Norris, I know that you really know about DCS and everything that goes with it, but the Steam prices never changed between EA and release. If an EA discount is available, it will also be displayed on Steam. The only prices that changed in the past was the preorder discount but since a few month preorder for DCS stuff at Steam is not possible.
To show an example look for Manor Lords in the shop. It hit the EA on April 26th and has a 25% introductory discount until May 10th so Steam allows discount right on release for the EA.
You can't have a discount on Steam for longer than 2 weeks. That's why the EA price for DCS modules don't show as discounted on Steam. If you look at the DCS site, you'll see they are discounted for EA and what the regular price will be after EA.
There used to be a time when there was no EA discount, which is why some older planes (F-14, F-16, JF-17, etc.) are in still Early Access without a discount. After the disastrous F-16 launch, ED stated that there will be an EA discount (20%) as well as a pre-order discount (30%, if offered for pre-order).
Once the Kola map moves out of EA, the price will rise from $56 USD to $70 USD.
Manor Lords isn't doing an EA discount. It's a launch discount, and only lasts for 2 weeks. The game will still be in EA after the discount expires. Look at the price history of Ready Or Not. It was $40 during the Early Access period, but didn't show as discounted for the 1.5 years it was in Early Access. Then the price jumped to $50 when officially released out of EA last December. Same thing happened with Dune: Spice Wars. The price was $30 during the year+ of EA (without it showing as discounted), then they upped the price to $35 when leaving EA.
