For steam DCS users, just make bundle pack(Super carrier+ F/A-18C) when release on steam. Then they can make discount for client who have F/A-18C).

if it's not available for preorder on Steam, then why are you advertising it here?? I just went to the dcs website and it says the carrier if bought from that site is steam incompatible? what's the point in telling us steam users about it then? yes I have bought the f18 and numerous other modules from you guys on Steam and this is how you treat me?

OMG yes, i understand why buying outside of steam gives good discount, but if it is "STEAM Incompatible" then it's 100% useless to me!!!!!!!!!!!!

I realy hope as a Hornet Pre-Orderer i will get my Discount on Steam too. Not like wiht some campain updates that i needed to buy twice.
ProjectMk16 18 ENE 2020 a las 0:05
this is extremely upsetting, cant get the module from steam....
and although my steam account is bounded to ED account and i have transferred all my modules (including my f-18) from steam...i do not get to have the discount i deserved.....very upsetting....
1st forcing me to split my purchases in 2 channels
2nd not recognizing my purchases to receive the discount I should be having

ED get your ♥♥♥♥ together.... this is not the first time ♥♥♥♥ like this happen

was planning to buy P-47 /F4U and the Syria map when released but now ... you just showed the door.... thanks ED

If you can't walk around the carrier, drive it, check out systems other than the LSO station, maybe shoot its CWIS, and hang around the tower, gazing at the magnificent glory that is the carrier from above, then what's the point? Checking out the marshalling?

10 ships of the class have been produced, of which, we will include five of the Theodore Roosevelt sub-class:

CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt
CVN-72 Abraham Lincoln
CVN-73 George Washington
CVN-74 John C Stennis
CVN-75 Harry S. Truman
For the early access release, we will provide the Roosevelt, Lincoln, and Washington.

Early access features of DCS: Supercarrier include:

Highly detailed polygon model with high-resolution textures that include realistic weathering and markings.
Animations that include arresting wires, jet blast deflectors (JBD), radar antennas, aircraft elevators, catapult bubble between catapults 1 and 2, steam from catapults, and risers (guard rails) around aircraft elevators when lowered.
Detailed lighting systems that includes the long-range line-up lights, IFLOLS, Animated "rabbit lights" along landing area centerline, deck lighting, floodlights, and ship number on the island.
Functional air defense weapon systems that include the Sea Sparrow, CIWS, and SeaRAM.
Deck parking allowing up to 14 aircraft to be spawned on deck.
Dynamic carrier radio communications for Case I, Case II, and Case III recoveries.
Static deck vehicles (AS32A-31A Flight Deck Tractor, AS32A-32A Hangar Deck Tractor, AS32A-36 Aircraft crash and salvage crane, P-25 Fire Fighting Vehicle) that can be placed by mission designers.
Animated deck crew for bow and waist catapults launches.
Static deck crew that can be placed by mission designers.
During the early access period, the following additional features will be added:

Air Boss station.
Briefing room.
Occupy the Landing Signal Officer (LSO) station with PLAT camera, including VR support.
More LSO station interactions.
Combined Arms integration.
"Burble" effect.
Wave off and bolter return to pattern radio messages.
Functional barricade net.

Also mind the deck crew animation is made with the motion capture studio. This all is something we wanted for years.

I understand that there are advantages and disadvantages associated with using the Steam vs stand alone platforms. There was a discussion posted a while ago explaining how it is possible to migrate from steam to the stand alone (but not the reverse) but I cannot find that post. Does anyone know where that discussion can be found?

50 dollars for a carrier?thats ridiculous

a carrier costs billions. we are lucky that for 50 dollars we are getting to experience a realistic, virtual naval carrier. chill
Oh, please...$50 bucks is a lot. And think about the compatibility issues...this is obviously just a cash grab from ED. The default carrier should receive these updates...it shouldn't be sold seperately.

Honestly at first i thought the super carrier was gonna be a free update to replace the old carrier. Granted i thought it would carry less features but i legit never thought they would charge money for a static ship on the background you cant interact with.
Troll Norris 18 ENE 2020 a las 12:00
From what I know the 3D model will be free and available for everyone. But the carrier ops won't be.
