Disk write error is a hardware problem as far as I am aware, have you checked your disks for errors?
thanks

Windows 7 needs the windows update listed above.
Bare in mind Microsoft will stop supporting windows 7 in the near future.
thanks
For Windows 7 Pro it is 50-100-200 - 350 USD total per computer.
You should not have closed my thread. I still have issues with the game (it still won't even start). But I have made a ticket.
Also, that update is not compatible with my windows (?)
This is a manual update https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=26767
it should help if you are windows 7 and DCS wont start
Yeesss!!! That's works! This link is X86 version and did not install, i search and download the X64. Now works fine! Thanks!!!
No, my "disk write error" while trying to download your update is a Steam/DCS problem. I can download and update everything else just fine, have no SSD or HDD issues on my PC whatsoever and i was playing this very simulation without issue, the day before the patch. Yes, i've verified the files, yes i've ran chkdsk, sfc and DISM, updated windows, updated drivers, defrag, Malwarebytes scan, rootkit scan, removed peripherals, updated periph drivers, firewall exceptions, modem security/firewall checked.....
I can game play Fortnite, Company of Heroes and web browse all at once, while checking these things. Maybe it's the patch and not my HDD....
