TrackIR 5 with pro clip question!
I would like to ask all of you who have experience with this equipment while playing DCS .

I am playing DCS on a flat screen 58" so I have to sit at the minmum of 2.2meter (7.2 feet) far to make it comfortable to my eyes and I am not sure if I would be able to use TrackIR 5 or not without any issue because its technical paramenter sheet on the official site says the optimal distance is about 2-5 feet.

Backmounting is not possible but the room can be darkened perfectly.

Would it work ?

And if it would work would there be compromises I had to accept with its resolution and accuracy due to the higher distance?

Edit: sorry I wrote 70-150feet previously instead of 2-5feet don't know why. (lol sorry)

The UTC clip is a better option. I've had it for a couple years and I love it. Internal rechargeable battery, no wires, powerful IR lights. Dude 3d prints and assembles himself.

How far can you sit for the camera ang still have the maximum resolution?

If the range is too far, you could probably set the TrackIR receiver up on a chair or some other object, below the TV, closer to you and have it angled up a bit and your TrackIR Clip angled down. I've wondered the same but always assumed that's how I'd do it if I played on a rather large TV.

Edit: Of course, that's not an answer. He wants to know if anyone else has used their Track IR Clip from a distance of 7-8+ feet from the receiver and will it pick up that far. I'd bet it does, these lights are BRIGHT.
