logitech x56 button programming HEEEEEELP!!!!
Im having a small problem (ok HUGE problem) mapping out my buttons, I used the in game control mapping and it worked fine, but I would like to use the mode switch so i can map out weapons, radio, flight controls, etc, i tried to use the logitech software to map out the key bindings, but it doesnt seem to work and defaults to the in game button mapping, can anyone help me with this? or is it even possible to use the logitech programming to make it work, or am i just doomed to only use the in game control mapping?

Make sure the profile is activated when you go ingame, it tends to flip out. Sometimes you have to deactivate it and reactivate it.

In your Logitech software ( https://support.logitech.com/en_us/product/x56-space-flight-vr-simulator-controller/downloads ) you can program the throttle / stick with the various modes.

In your taskbar you'll have an icon which you can use to change your profile. http://prntscr.com/mqjuhl

I suggest going over this software as this is where you can program the different modes.

yes, i have all that, and i have programmed/mapped out the buttons and whatnot, but it doesn't seem to work in dcs world unless i map them out with the in game control mapping, vs the logitech mapping programming thingy. not sure if this is normal, or im being a dumbass and missing something.

so i mapped out all my buttons and stuff, but upon loading into dcs world, all my mappings didn't work. even though i mapped in the logitech programming software to use the key bindings, upon loading i get nada on button or toggle press with a correct response from that button of toggle. I get no response. am i missing a setting or something that dcs needs to have to recognize logitech programming, or visa versa?

When you load up the game (I assume you made a profile in the logitech programming software) minimize the game / alt tab out, then go to your taskbar and right click the little icon (See the prntscrn link from earlier), press Clear then reselect your profile and try again ingame.

ok, so i tried it, and nothing seems to work unless i use the in game button mapping. i know i must have a setting off or something. its not recognizing the toggle switch press as a keyboard button press, hence won't work.

Did you test it in the profile software?

At the very top there is a "test profile" button.

i did yes. and the key strokes come up in the window. im just guessing there is some small setting somewhere i am not knowing about that enables me to use the logitech programming software vs the in game ones.
