[SOLVED]How to install Community A-4E Mod on Steam

Please move if this isn't the right forum to post in.

So I downloaded the A-4E and i'm trying to install it.

It won't load if I drop it into my

X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\CoreMods\aircraft
or
X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DCSWorld\Mods\aircraft
OR
C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft

whatdo?

Mine was the same, no Mods folder. So do as I did and add one :)

C:\Users\USERNAME\Saved Games\DCS\Mods\aircraft worked for me after I created the \Mods\aircraft folder.....One thing I did do the first time by mistake was copy the home A-4E folder from the unzipped results. There is another A-4E folder under that one....when I copied that one instead, it works....I am running OpenBeta

The fix is easy. Create that folder manually.

yo so for who ever is running DCS in the beta, you have to make a folder under saved games called "DCS.openbeta\Mods\aircraft" and it should work there, I was able to play online with it for about 30 mins before it booted me for IC.

Hi,
Just in case you are like me and you are playing on the steam deck with steamOS, here is the correct location where you need to put your A4E folder:
Home/.local/share/steam/steamapps/compatdata//223750/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Saved Games/DCS/Mods/Aircraft
Make sure you tick the “show hidden file” option in Dolphin so that the”.local” folder is visible.
It took me forever to figure that out, so I hope it may help you if you are in the same situation!
