How do I add custom kneeboards to the steam edition

On Windows, something like [Window's account user data folder]/Saved Games/DCS/Kneeboard/[name of aircraft]/[your files go here] for aircraft-specific kneeboards. Also, the name of the aircraft is very particular, so you may need to look it up elsewhere. EDIT: And yes, these folders may not all exist. Create them if necessary.

For map-specific kneeboards, they need to be inserted into the actual game-data directories (inside steam app data) for those maps. Also, not all maps support loading map-specific kneeboards, which is frustrating! I think it's a deprecated feature. One of the very, very few modding things that still go directly into the game-data directories.
