How to use mouse to look around in F18?

I don't have TrackIR and I need to use mouse to look around.

But in the F18, the mouse is a clicking tool so is there a way that I could map a button to hold so it makes mouse a looking around tool while holding the key or something?

It's really hard to use hat on stick to look around then it's the zooming thing too which is awful.


Any help would be appreciated.

Alt+C changes the mouse mod between cursor mode and view mode. It shoul'd also do the middle mouse button.

Cant believe im reading this now in 2022 and I'm having the same problem. So one morning, simply no more mouse look. After dropping the F18 for a few months I read that there are some recent updates so I decide to go the long way and I redid my whole system to guarantee a fresh start and no ghosts lurking around. So now my whole system is redone from scratch and I'm still having the same issue. L-Alt+c simply makes the little yellow crosshair disappear. Once invisible, i move the mouse and nothing. I press L-Alt+c and here comes the little yellow crosshair... move mouse... still nada. I just asked for a refund. Can't fly this bird anymore.
