How to Set Up Joystick Controls?
I have the Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas X, and I want to set it up to fly in this game. How do I do that?

My joystick doesn't show up in the menu, so I can't do anything. How do I get it to appear?

If your computer does not yet recognize your joystick try downloading the Target GUI from Thrustmaster. Once installed you can install drivers from there. Once the drivers are installed you will need to set up the controls on DCS. Once you go to set up the actual controls I would recommend researching how to set up axis controls on youtube and figure that out first (makes a world of difference if you have never played with a joystick on this game). Once you have all your axis controls done then you can start assigning functions to your buttons.

Hey microspace, here is what you have to do.

In your library right click on DCS World and go to settings.
Under General, at the bottom, it says
Steam Input Per-Game Settings

Choose
Use your global Steam Input settings (none)

The reason for this is it's likely you've used a Steam Controller or XBOX-like controller for this game, and big picture/steam is trying to do an emulation so that you can rebind said controllers. This emulation disables some HOTAS controllers. Just change the above setting and load the game.

Hope this helps.
