Mission editor how to start off from an aircraft carrier

Hello
As the title says, how do i make a mission where you can cold start from an aircraft carrier on persian gulf map, US side? I'm flying an F/A-18.

So far the only way ive figured out how to do it is to place the CVN-74 carrier, not the CVN-70 (the old carrier model, it wont work with it) Place your aircraft down on the map by the carrier and on waypoint, type, set it for "take off from ramp". Im not sure if you can select where to be parked on the carrier, but you will start out with everything shut down, wings folded, canopy open ect, so you can do a cold start. Im brand new to DCS so if theres another way id also like to know as well. You can also place static aircraft on the deck by linking them to the carrier, and slecting "offset fixation", then youre able to place them on the deck where ever youd like. Hope this helps, like I said im brand new to DCS so someone else out there has to know more than me. lol
