Slow ED download servers?

ive been trying to download dcs world for a day it is currently downloading at 10kb/s and one of them gave up 1.4gb in is there somthing slowing down my connection to the download servers or is it really just that slow
And before anyone blames me i am only downloading one right now because the other one killed itself so ill have to re download it and just to try i downloaded somthing on steam while dcs world was downloading steam downloaded up to 2.5mb/s while the DCS downloads didnt change in download speed

You could download on Steam?

An alternative that's often quicker is using the torrent link, especially around popular updates of the ED hosted stuff. A good Windows torrent client would be something like µTorrent.

ok well now Utorrent will have it done in 30 minutes for all of dcs world and the one piece that has been going for a day and has 1.8gb done has and hour left Thank you for mentioning a torrent would be better

keep in mind though that the torrent version might not be the latest and it may need to contact ED servers to update, I'm not sure what the last version they put up was it may be 1.2.6, i'm just to lazy to check :P

and FYI uTorrent is actually called Microtorrent, that u is actually meaning micro. but everyone calls it "U" torrent. try googling Microtorrent and see what is first in the list :)
