Just gone for the $40 :)
I really hope Luthier shows us some decent stuff soon, I imagine a lot of people are waiting to see what he has to offer.
They should REALLY get this pinned.
Soon at the 80K mark! Looking good!
Republic P-47D-28 Thunderbolt;
Supermarine Spitfire Mk IX;
Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4;
Focke-Wulf FW.190D-9 (from DCS: World);
North-American P-51D Mustang (from DCS: World).
Two of those ore DCS world modules that I presumably have to buy from ED separately. Moreover, the description states "The free downloadable version of Europe 1944 will include THREE fully flyable aircraft, each arguably more famous than the next: the Republic P-47 Thunderbolt fighter/ground attack aircraft, the Supermarine Spitfire fighter, and the German Messerschmitt Bf.109K."
Thus, it would seem that all of the aircraft in the base game are either free or supplied by ED. I am, therefore, not sure what to make of the backer's rewards such as "$20: Everything at the previous level, plus a digital copy of one additional flyable aircraft of your choice." Unless at least one stretch goal is met (looks likely to be fair) it would seem like there is no (non-free) additional aircraft to choose!
Also, does one have to pay to get access to the new game world or is that offered for free under the F2P model?
I am very willing to support this project, but some clarity is surely called for in what exactly the package on offer is.
I've been looking for some clarification on this as well. If the three non-DCS World aircraft above already come with the free-to-play download - which they do according to the page - then what exactly are the $20, $30, $40, etc., backers getting if no stretch goals are met, and thus, no additional aircraft are added to the game? Are they just paying an extra $10 to $30 for the same beta access from the $10 level?
It seems like backing with any more than $10 is a gamble.
