If you are looking for automatic configuration of third-party devices like the "Lillilput" monitor or Cougar MFD, this has never existed.
For the Cougar MFD, no LUA is required. Instead, you should simply assign the buttons on the MFD scaffold to the associated button in the simulator. You can find these through selecting Options > Controls > Layer A-10C Sim and after that Left and Right MFCD.
The capability has been there, please see this:

A google search found me this tutorial:

<LocalDrive>/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/DCSWorld/
here is a link on what to do for your MFCD displays. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815
here's a link of a software that does it for you.... http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=71831
Also the cougar MFD dcs should have a profile already made for the A-10c here
STEAM GAME DIR......DCS World\Mods\aircrafts\A-10C\Input\A-10C\joystick
Just load the profile in control options.
Hello Tatsue,
Thank you for your reply.
My Cougar MFDS work just fine. What I'm going for is using my Lilliput LCD monitors with the Cougar MFDs to make a MFCD. In other words, it's like the two videos you attached.
The problem that I'm having is for some reason I don't have the Monitor Setup folder that is supposed to be under Configuration. This folder contains Lua files that can be edited. These files are not located in-game, but out of game in Windows. This is the crucial step I need for everything to work.
Skate Zilla,
Thanks for the reply. I'm not the most tech savvy guy here. How do you find the steamapps?
TAnker737,
Thanks for the reply. DCS: A-10 works fine in DCS: World. My Cougar MFDs work fine too.
I've visited link that you attached. I've done the pixel math like the thread suggested. The problem that I'm having is that I don't have the Monitor Setup folder that contains the Lua files so I can use my LCD monitors to make an MFCD. Again, my MFDs work great; it's getting the MFCD to work is what I'm having trouble with. I'm just not sure where to go from here.
If you installed it in the default steam Dir it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\DCS World\Config\MonitorSetup
Thanks TAnker737.
I finally found the Monitor Setup folder the way you and Skate Zilla mentioned. I can't believe that it was hiding in plain site. I now have fully functioning MFCDs. (It took me about three hours to get all the pixels configured, but its done and I'm happy.)
Thanks again for your help.
Erik
But,when I look at 8 inch monitors i have a bit of doubt what to buy, and what products that will work.. There for i hope some of you might want to share your experiences about what monitor you are using or have a good advice about a nother and maybe cheaper product ;-)
Thank you in advance.
Cool. Make sure to visit ED forums to see about formatting pixels. They also have creative setups too.
I use the Lilliput 7 inch usb LCD monitors. They go for about $100 a pop. They also make 8 inch. If could do it again, I would get the 8 inch monitors because they fit Cougar M.F.D.s better. I understand that Double Sight also makes LCD monitors that work real good for M.F.C.D.s. Which ever monitors you choose, make sure you've got plenty of power to support them.
I hope that helps.
Good luck.
Erik
