Total Resolution & Mouse Problem
Hello,
So, whenever when I try to change my resolution to 1280 x 720 from the default resolution, but whenever the game restarts, the resolution resets to its default resolution. So when I go to briefings, the menu extends past my screen, so I can't click on "fly" or anything else.
The other problem is that I can't see my mouse pointer... is there something I'm missing?

You selecting the tick (Ok) button once you've changed res in settings? Obvious I know, just asking.

Is 'Full Screen' ticked, as that could be the mouse pointer issue?

Also, did it default to the appropriate Aspect Ratio? It sounds like it can't go to the resolution you are giving it, so check that resolution, aspect and monitors setting (by default the last one should say '1 Screen').

Check Full Screen and the correct ratio of 16:9 for 1280x720

Or you can do this manually:

Open this file with Notepad++ (notepad or word is not recommended, but you can try):
C:\Users\[your user name]\Saved Games\DCS\Config\options.lua
Or just Your User Name from Start Menu then \Saved Games\DCS\Config\options.lua

Ctrl F to locate and change these lines:
["aspect"] = 1.7777777777778,
["fullScreen"] = true,
["height"] = 720,
["width"] = 1280,

Save the file with Ctrl S, make sure it's still options.lua and not options.lua.TXT or something.

Also, if you're using a VGA cable and not a DVI or HDMI, you need to tell the monitor to Auto Adjust for any new resolution/refresh rate, even if it's an LCD monitor.

technically vertical resolution of 720 is not supported, you can still use it and in multiplayer enough of the bottom buttons are visible to still click em.

1280x720 is not selectable in DCS options, but it is a standard resolution with 16:9 and I tested it in window mode and it works, can see everything and use the mouse. So setting it manually works, should function for him too in full screen.

pretty sure it cuts off some of the buttons (if your in a window at least)

Thanks for the help guys! My screen resolution now works! But the mouse still isn't showing. This is the only application where it doesn't work. I have full screen checked, but the mouse still doens't work...
