Logitech extreme 3d pro..... I have no idea how to assign throttle up/down the the joystick throttle tab. Not working by default.

Select the throttle cell under the joystick column, clear it if anything is assigned.
Then double click or Axis Assign menu. Move the throttle/slider on the joystick, it will recognize it.
Press OK and go into Axis Tune. There, it's important to check the Slider box. OK. Done.

But it's also very important to set the dead zones and curves to 5-10 and 20-30 respectively, for all axis, including rudder, but not the throttle.

Thanks mate. Much appreciated.
Oddly, it does not seem to recognize the joystick slider.
I have a buddy with the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro from Amazon, and it recognized the throttle.
Are you doing it from the Axis Assign menu?
Does it recognize other Axis or Buttons when you move it to assign?

You can also delete or move this folder to clear to defaults:
C:\Users\SCoRPioN\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\..

Then try to assign again. If nothing, then exit DCS. Unplug the joystick and plug it into another USB port so a fresh driver is installed again now for a new port. Try again after deleting Input.
For the Logitech 3d pro you have to assign the slider to the thrust command i thought it was under throttle but click axis and you will see THRUST then double click it and move the slider up or down and it will register it, after that just click OK and your all done. hope it helped
yes that helped for me thanks, in AXIS ASSIGN, mine was already set for Z Axis instead of Slider axis.

Does anyone know how to remove the on screen training text?
I completely suck at the game so im no help there lol enjoy bro.
