help performing cobra

so now that i'm getting use to the new FM i've been having a little problem performing the cobra. I can get the nose up and bringing the Su-27 to the proper angle but its returning the plane back to level flight im having problems with. it looks like im dropping the nose to much and putting myself into a massive stall that most the time gets the Su-27 into a flat spin aka death :P

any tips on the cobra would be very appreciated

Start by pressing 'S' to turn off stability assistance system (switch called "direct control switch").
Fly level, pull stick fully back and once you're going vertical hit 'S' to enable it again.
You should keep enough engine power during whole time.

ah ok that must have been the problem, i didn't enable the stability assistance before bringing the nose back down.
