This might be helpful since it gives a known reference for the hardware and software to look for.
Without it does have to "guess" a bit where head is looking at.
I don't have TrackIR at the moment but do have some experience in machine vision from work.
Happy NOT to wear a silly Baseball type TrackClip cap anymore..bit worried about getting up and walking away as usual with my Wireless Corsair Headphones now with the Clip and now Pro wire installed! Yanked enuff old HP wires out in past.
I had to cut out a 1/4 inch bit of plastic on both sides of one side of the HPhones clamp to fit on my modern Corsair Headphones with a MotoTool cutter...simple wire cutters would work also to fit wider Headphones.
Improved I think ... but look view zoomed in a bit or more on switches still randomly wiggle around for not logical reason regarding head movement combinded with my Old Track IR 4.
I see all these guys making videos on You Tube have a very steady view on switches ...but maybe they are not zooming in much. Must check it with other games using 6 views on TrackIR.
The wandering view is annoying.

I would say that increase in precision can have huge difference in tracking small movements.
