Look into the CH Pro Throttle if you can find it in stock anywhere. As I mentioned earlier their supplier was having trouble and a sa result CH is having trouble getting parts to build their product. That said, while their stuff looks like it was developed for the 80's, you'll have a hard time finding better gear. Truth be told, the actual build quality (internal soldering and such) exceeds that of the Thrustmaster Warthog. The down side is they do use very high quality pots instead of hall effect sensors.
While this is true, they are the highest quality (duty cycle) dash pots. CH products also makes industrial joysticks and apply thier knowledge to their computer joystick peripherals. My experience is that they will last quite a while.
I don't disagree at all. A great many are still using their old CH joystick/throttle/pedal combo's from back when they needed serial ports. They are high quality products. I just like to give the full disclosure.
F-18 HOTAS would not be that much different from the A-10C HOTAS.
There's bit of difference at top of stick (three selectors side-by-side instead of four in square).
Also there's two buttons on throttle where A-10C has one and the hat is not there.
My setup. It's all dirty :)

The monitor in the center and the one to the left are connected to the black cube shaped PC on the left. That's my main gaming machine. Under main monitor is my Logitech G19s Gaming Keyboard. Next to it on the left is a Logitech G13 Gaming Pad. The round device just in-front of the left corner of the main monitor is a 3Dconnexion 6 axis 3d mouse, the Saitex X-55 Throttle is under my table on the left sitting on-top of an old empty case. The Saitex X-55 Joystick is under my table on the right. Out of sight is my X-Box 360 Wireless Receiver. Everything is plug into my PC via USB at the back of the computer.
I could add my ST290, but again, no way to tell the game to use that device instead of something else at random.
